1. Dame Elisabeth Murdoch

Dame Elisabeth Murdoch, AC, DBE (1909–2012) was an Australian philanthropist and matriarch of the Murdoch family. She was born in the suburb of Kew, but later lived in Cruden Farm, Langwarrin, which is located near Frankston. Dame Elisabeth Murdoch supported numerous charitable causes throughout her life and was known for her extensive contributions to the arts, education, and health sectors. Her philanthropic work earned her several prestigious awards.

2. Rachel Griffiths

Rachel Griffiths (born 1968) is an Australian actress and director who gained international recognition for her role as Brenda Chenowith in the TV series, "Six Feet Under." Born in Melbourne, Griffiths grew up in Frankston and attended Frankston High School. She has been nominated for several prestigious awards, including an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film "Hilary and Jackie" (1998).

3. Neale Daniher

Neale Daniher (born 1961) is a former Australian rules football player and coach. He was born and raised in Frankston. Daniher had a successful playing career with the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). After his playing career, Daniher transitioned into coaching and led the Melbourne Football Club from 1998 to 2007. He has been a strong advocate for motor neuron disease awareness since being diagnosed with the disease in 2013.

4. Christos Tsiolkas

Christos Tsiolkas (born 1965) is a contemporary Australian author known for his novel "The Slap," which was adapted into a successful TV series. Tsiolkas was born and raised in Frankston and has Greek heritage. He has won several awards for his writing, including the Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best Book in South East Asia and the Pacific for his novel "Dead Europe" (2005).

5. Lleyton Hewitt

Lleyton Hewitt (born 1981) is a retired Australian professional tennis player and former world No. 1. Although born in Adelaide, Hewitt spent a significant part of his childhood and early tennis career in the Frankston area. He achieved remarkable success in tennis, winning two Grand Slam singles titles and multiple other championships. Hewitt also captained the Australian Davis Cup team from 2016 to 2020.
